Palo Alto Middle School Strippers

William Fried, a speaker at Career Day at Jane Lathrop Stanford Middle School in Palo Alto, advised girls that exotic dancers could make up to $250,000 per year, depending on their bust size.

While the school's principal and various school board members were quick to condemn the talk, the fact is the Fried is right. One of my wife's good friends used to be an exotic dancer at a high-end gentleman's club in Manhattan, and she easily cleared that much in cash income per year.

I don't want my daughter to become a stripper, but I don't think that the answer is to try to hide the truth or shield them from what the world is actually like. Parents shouldn't lie to their children.
